Welcome to my first post on my „Sorry about your wall“ Blog, where i post my photography and some thoughts. As much i enjoy looking photography on Instagram, I never had a good feeling with Facebook / Meta ! A collect “data en masse” company that’s feed it’s AI model with photography and collecting unbelievable amount of private metadata. Also problematic for me is showing pictures of anonymous people within my photographs, who easily can recognize with Meta’s facial software and connect these to a possible Facebook/ Instagram account and connect it to my profile! I don’t like the idea to support this company anymore, keyword „big data is the new oil“. To be clear, i don’t judge photographers who are posting pictures on Instagram, i do it also for a long time, i won’t and i don’t stand morally above other, everyone had to life his own life. You can say now „you use the Instagram app on your phone, that collects also a ton on Metadata even when you are don’t post pictures“, yes you are right, but i never use the Instagram app, mobile and home only with a browser. Looking photography on a browser and a big screen makes more fun. Now getting to the point of this Blog, in the future i post my pictures only here on my blog, but I still will be enjoying your photography on Instagram on a big browser screen.
