Statement:
I love irony, the subtle and the abstract – not exclusively, but it runs like a red thread through my photography. This view is not a cynical one, on the contrary: it is a view of the world, a view that makes our life appear just as abstract, subtle and ironic as it ultimately is.
I was influenced by my years as a Yugoslav guest worker moving child in Germany and the resulting problems that one had as an adolescent and uprooted mid-twenties in the 90s. It was a time when I stumbled from one low point to another in my life, at some point almost burned inside, only to then stretch my wings wide again like Phoenix from the ashes in the mid-2000s.
